Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê (/ˈvèdo/ /ˈtɪhë/ [big; great (very large); huge] [biology]) is a subtropical Large Town located in Highhaven Dutchy, Yêgècêkêthê Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê was founded by Dikh́a Shegfesí, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 16°C (60°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 23°C (73°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 10°C (50°F). Overview

Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1366, by Dikh́a Shegfesí. The establishment of Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Dikh́a Shegfesí struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê as a prison colony.

Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of crampt cobblestone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. The budget focused millitary grade defenses has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the simple fact that it is abundantly clear Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê suffered something horrible some time ago. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê rain occurs in reverse with water pooling up from the earth then falling into the skies to from clouds, this unsettles every visitor that sees it.

The Manticore near Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê was struck by an anomalously harsh winter storm which brought extreme cold and deep snows along with its blustering winds. The worst of the disaster struck The storm coated everything in a thick layer of ice and freezing countless animals, plants, and people to death. Vèdo-tîhë Fêqê lost 240 people, and 101 livestock in the disaster.. The disaster is remembered as the Terror Screams, after the sounds of the winds.
